Andrew first started his professional career as a software developer and joined the firm of chartered accountants, Coopers and Lybrand as a database administrator and accounting junior.
Advancing quickly as an IBM dealership engineer, Andrew provided support for the prestigious IBM range of servers and workstations. Accounting software and Point of Sale products quickly became an area of speciality with a particular focus on the Profax accounting software range.
Massey University was the next stop, completing second and third year papers for a Diploma in Business Studies majoring in Information Systems.
Returning to the Hawke's Bay, Andrew setup his own computer support company, named, InfoLink Systems, where the concept of the Intenet first took form. The early predecessor of the Internet was the Bulletin Board of which Andrew was the designer and system operator. This service maintained national and international links which quickly grew into Internet Hawkes Bay.
Andrew sold his company and semi-retired from the the hustle and bustle of the ISP business returning to the business in which his clients would benefit mostly from his range of skills.
Macro Limited was formed on the 4th October 2006 and based upon the many requests from his clients, Andrew is now providing a specialist support and consultancy service as well as creating innovative IT solutions for his clients.
Macro surrounds itself with a wealth of knowledge and a talented team of consultants who are willing and very able to provide assistance in technical support, system design and installation.
